Craigslist ads flagged and removed?

House of Nothing Free Classifieds
So you have spent so much time creating your classifieds ads, using the right words and uploading nice pictures for your ads, to make them effective and appealing. Then all of a sudden, without a warning, your ads are flagged and deleted. You think hard and start scrutinizing every word of your ads. But you can not find out why and you do not know who to turn to for help.

You have every right to feel there is no justice in this world. The unfortunate fact is that you are not alone.

Share your experience here with those who have had the same unpleasant treatment by those behind the computers who may have flagged your ads for no good reasons. They could be your competitors and flagging is a way for them to unfairly eliminate competition! If there are enough people like you who voice their complaints here, someone may be listening and actually do something about this problem.

Maybe now it is time to look for alternative free classifieds to post your ads.

As a practical matter, there are a few things you can do to minimize the risk of your ad being flagged and removed. You can post your ads at the off peak hours, like early in the morning or late at night when the flagging gang are not most active. Keep your ads low key so as not to attract their attention. Post under very different subject lines. Also consider posting your ads as a picture, and without text. Some of the flagging gang target keywords based ads.

As your ads get flagged off quite often, you may find your account being ghosted. That is when you can post ads just fine, but those ads do not show up in the main index and the general public has no way of finding your ads! When this happens, you may want to clean out your computer cookies, and turn off and on your modem, and get a new IP for your computer and create a different account to post.

How long does it take for ads to get flagged on craigslist?

it takes a certain number of flags by different people – I have tried to get things flagged by clicking on all 3 types of flags and it doesn’t go away just based on my flagging it

Has anyone experienced having their ads deleted for seemingly no reason? I'm 99% certain that there is someone out there in CL land that sees my listings as competition and keeps flagging them. As CL operates on shoestrings, what is the chance of getting a response to complaints to the people at CL? If you have had this happen chronically, what have you done about it?
